ROSE QUARTZ - the stone of heart, love and family

Rose quartz is one of the most common crystals, but also one of the strongest. Natural pink quartz stone can be opaque to completely translucent and can be any shade from the lightest pink to an almost rosy red colour.

Early civilizations called it pink quartz, rose quartz or hyaline quartz. The name rose quartz comes from the Greek word "hyalos", meaning glass.
The rose crystal is the subject of legend, which tells how Aphrodite stained the white quartz with blood when she injured herself on a thorny bush in an attempt to save her love Adonis and the rose quartz became a symbol of love. In another Greek story, Eros brought rose quartz to the people to sow love and hope.

HISTORY

Rose quartz has been revered and worn as a stone of love and heart since ancient times.
The use of rose quartz dates back to ancient times, to 7000 BC, when the Assyrians in Mesopotamia were the first people to use the spiritual significance of rose quartz in their practices and ceremonies. Egyptian and Roman women used rose quartz for skin masks to prevent wrinkles. In East Asia it was used as a token of love and was widely used as an amulet.

Today rose quartz is often used as jewellery, for meditation or as decoration in homes or office spaces.

In today's age of technological development, rose quartz is gaining more and more importance as a means of neutralising the influence of an unhealthy environment on our organism.
