### Different types of myrrh

Different types of myrrh have similar effects, but differ in details and smell. Myrrh confusa, sometimes referred to as Kenyan frankincense, is characterized by a deep, warm scent, sweetly herbal and resinous, with earthy and balsamic tones, more reminiscent of frankincense than myrrh.

Confusion is also caused by the myrrh tree //Commiphora confusa//, as this species is not easily identified. It has different flowers on individual plants, as well as varying colors and types of resin.

Due to the terpenoid content and other naturally occurring substances, essential oils extracted from the resin dry out easily when exposed to oxygen for long periods of time. A consequence and natural characteristic of the product is a resinous coating that forms near the dropper and the neck of the essential oil bench.

If you want to prevent the formation of a resinous coating, after each use of essential oil, clean the dropper and its surrounding area thoroughly with a dry and clean tissue. Then close the bottle tightly and store in a dark and dry place.
