Acquire an exceptional design element that will capture attention at first glance. This bowl is hand-crafted from 100% natural shungite originating from the Karelia region. Each piece is unique, with minor differences in pattern or shape being a natural part of handmade production.
The outer surface and top edge are polished, giving the bowl an elegant and modern look and a pleasant-to-the-touch surface. The interior remains matte and raw, with the natural texture and intensity of shungite.
You can use the bowl as a decoration and for the energetic cleansing of small items, e.g., crystals, jewellery, or aromatherapy essentials. It will serve as an energetic harmonising element at home, in the office, or in a meditation corner.
Traditionally, shungite is associated with water purification and mineralisation. For this purpose, simply fill the bowl with water and leave it undisturbed for at least 15–20 minutes. This water can become part of personal rituals to support daily balance.
Due to its origin and properties, shungite is often perceived as a protective and stabilising stone, associated with grounding, inner strength, and a sense of security. A shungite bowl is thus a symbolic accessory that brings peace and order to a space.
Its ecological material, handmade craftsmanship, and timeless design make it an aesthetic and functional part of your interior.
### Benefits
### What is Shungite
Shungite is a black, matte stone with a natural carbon structure originating from Karelia in Russia. This fossilised natural material from the seabed has exceptional composition, properties, and wide-ranging uses.
It is known for its ability to absorb radio and electromagnetic radiation and cleanse negative energies. It activates and enriches water and serves as a natural filter. It has strong protective effects.
It is extremely grounding; it is traditionally stated that it can help better integrate cosmic wisdom and karmic lessons, as its high vibration helps bring your spiritual body down to the physical plane.
Based on its structure, shungite is a mineraloid, a non-porous polymineral carbon rock containing almost half of the elements of the periodic table.
It contains carbon in the unusual form of fullerenes. These are, after diamond, graphene, and graphite, the fourth known form of carbon and have enormous potential in many areas.
Shungite is the most powerful known antioxidant and also a universal sorbent. It binds heavy metals, ammonia, petroleum products, pesticides, phenols, surfactants, chlorine, and other substances.
It got its name from its place of occurrence, the Karelian village of Shunga on the shore of Lake Onega, where it was first discovered. Northwestern Russia is the largest and oldest source of shungite; other deposits are in Austria, India, Kazakhstan, and Congo.
From the beginning of the 18th century, it was used as a healing aid. Tsar Peter the Great founded the first Russian spa in Karelia and also used shungite's properties to purify drinking water for the army.
In industry, shungite initially served as a substitute for coal coke in blast furnaces for cast iron production. Later, new valuable properties were discovered – absorptive, bactericidal, catalytic, redox, and filtering.
These enabled the use of shungite in various fields of science, industry, and technology. For example, a number of new nanotechnological materials were created based on it. Especially in Russia, Norway, Sweden, and America, it is used for water treatment and purification in wells, reservoirs, and swimming pools, and for purifying wastewater from hospitals.
