Cocoa nibs, BIO RAW

Carefully selected and sorted the best quality BIO certified un-roasted cocoa beans are sun dried (RAW) and fermented to a level of approx. 90%. For centuries and millennia, these beans have been among the best that nature has had to offer. They are a superfood, even referred to by some experts as the best superfood. Its Latin name, Theobroma cacao, means food of the gods. Unroasted cocoa beans contain a wide range of minerals, vitamins, antioxidants and other phytonutrients. They contain large amounts of biological, easily digestible magnesium, which is one of the most important and most deficient minerals. Its deficiency in the population is universal.

Un-roasted cocoa beans are also the richest source of organic sulphur in nature.

Unroasted cocoa beans are sometimes classified as aphrodisiacs. On the other hand, they are also suitable and popular with children.
Cocoa beans contain anthocyanins, which are natural plant dyes that are purple in colour. They are also found, for example, in acai and blueberries.

Cocoa nibs also contain purine compounds - theobromine and, in small quantities, caffeine. These substances have similar effects due to their affinity. However, the action of theobromine is about ten times more subtle than that of caffeine. Therefore, there is no need to worry about similar effects that may occur when drinking coffee, such as a certain 'addictiveness' and 'over-stimulation'.

They can be eaten as nuts or added to other foods. They are also popular with vegans and followers of the RAW and Paleo diets.
